Dashan (AKA Mark Rowswell) perhaps is the most famous foreigner in China. As a Canadian, he started to learn Chinese in the mid 1980s and became so familar with it that he can hold televison programmes, play traditional chinese performings and do dramatic acting even without any difficulty! His smooth Chinese, wide knowlege of China and wonderful acting has made hime the honor of cultural ambassador between China and the West. He is the first foreigner selected as one of the 10 'Outstanding Youth of Beijing'!! Recently, Dashan has been chosen to be the Canadian Team Attache for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing! He really deserve these honours!! Cheers! : )
