To our surprise, Beijing University and Qinghua University are kicked out from the Top Ten. Those two universities are the best in China. Of course, those universities on the Top Ten List are the first ranking universities in China. Here are two questions for you. How do you view the rankings of salary? Do you think that only those students graduated from the first ranking universities can earn a good salary?

Is it bilievable? It is surprise to know that the top 1 is Dalian University of Foreign Languages. As I know, the best foreign language university in China is the Beijing Foreign Studies University and then Shanghai International StudiesUniversity or Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.

It is always like that ..there are always many rankings by different publication groups ..Sometimes they will vary a lot ..Sometimes lot of publications will join hands and wil publish similar kind of rankings to make people beleive ..So never go by these rankings ..One of the most screwed up examples of these rankings are Management School rankings ..Trust only the best ..I always go by Economist rankings and for any serious article or report..

Yes, I have heard that graduates of Dalian University of Foreign Languages earn much.
It seems that the majors in international language and high-tec still earn the most. I think it related to the hot industy now.

If we are looking for highest salaries , the finance professionals are paid the most all over the world ..and their salaries are so high that the next bests are not even 50%. IN the same domain .Economists, researches and scientists come second .Hightechs are good but not even near to the best.

If those figures are rmb per month I have a big problem believing them. My ex students, English majors, cannot find jobs at even 1000 rmb a month. True, they were not from a prestigious school, but with many thousand and thousands of graduates I cannot see employers paying that much...simple supply and demand. Maybe the figures came from the administrators of the colleges... then these figures make sense - as marketing hype !!

Well, those hot majors such as Software Develpoing, Intertional Trade and Accounting bring good salary. There are many universities in China that have English Dpartment. Therefore, English majors have too many competitors. They burden much pressure on job hunting.

But if those figures are to mean anything, they are averages across the whole university, not just for the specialist departments.
