Hi Jarrod,

My family and I will possibly move to Qingdao in two months or so. Currently living in Sydney and are a bit curious what to expect there. Is it that great?

GUEST46960 Qingdao is a great place and it's keeps getting better. There are a couple of options for all you that were mentioned earlier. www.qingdaoexpat.com is a good start to check and the people there are very helpful. They organize a couple of events each year for the community and I'm sure you'll find something nice to do with them.

For business related things there's a group called Qingdao Business Leaders which is building up a website now. They meet once a month for a meeting and once a month for a tour of a member's factory. People there can help with most things and are very easy going.

Pepi, if you come from Sydney then don't expect clean beaches ;-) But it's still good enough to hang out in the sunshine and go for a quick swim.

Welcome to Qingdao,

Christopher

GUEST87212 As I understand tuition rates at Qingdao MTi school for lower elementary are under your limit. All students proficient in English take Chinese everyday.

GUEST12393 Hi,
any direct flights to Europe from Qingdao, or is it best first to fly domestic to Shanghai or Beijing?

Hi, I'm afraid you'd better take fly to Shanghai or Beijing. If not, you have to via Hong Kong... If you need any help from Qingdao, feel free to let me know. I'm in Qingdao now. Welcome^-^

GUESTLILOLEME whatever you do... do not work at or send your students to KISQ Korean International School of Qingdao... the doors are getting ready to close and the students don't know it... except for his son that attends the school and is about to graduate.

it's a warning.

good luck.
