There are a lot of trains between Shanghai and Suzhou and you can buy the ticket at the ticket office of the train station. Generally it will about 1 hour.

You sound confused.
Maglev train runs from Shanghai Pudong airport to Longyang Lu metro stop in the boonies of Shanghai Pudong.
The new D trains run from Shanghai main train station to Suzhou train station.
If you want to go DIRECTLY from Shanghai Pudong airport to Suzhou, take the airport shuttles instead. These depart at 1040, 1120, 1150, 1250, 1350, 1440, 1520, 1610, 1650, 1750, 1850 and 1940. Fare is 82 RMB.

GUEST13675 hi ellyse,

r u sure that there's a airport shuttle bus from pudong airport that goes directly to suzhou? and if so, how long is the journey from the airport straight to suzhou?

im still contemplating between bus or train to get to suzhou. my flight arrives at pudong airport at 4.55pm. and as i'll be traveling alone, i don't wanna arrive in suzhou too late at night in case i get lost and there's no one to ask for directions!

and also, which part of suzhou will this shuttle take me to? my destination is citadines apartments, suzhou industrial park.

thanks,
tracy.

Yes, most definitely.
I think the journey takes about 2-3 hours depending on traffic. You should be able to get the 1750 departure which would put you in Suzhou around 1930 or so. That's not too late.
Shuttle arrives near Guanqian Jie pedestrian street in the middle of town, convenient location. Your destination is the one that's far from town.

GUESTRAW i've seen places that claim that this shuttle also stops in SIP. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, where in SIP, exactly?
