There is direct autobus from Suzhou to Pudong. You can get on the train outside the ticket selling place of China Eastern Airlines located at the Ximei Lane of Ganjiang Rd.

As early as 7:00 in the morning, there is one. and the last one departs at 16:00.

Price : 80 Yuan/ Person.
Time: 2:30 hours.
You can phone: 0512-65215022 to consult.

GUEST18923 I've been trying to find where this "Ximei lane" is and it doesn't seem to be on any map of Suzhou. The closest I can find is 'Xibei' which is off of renmin road behind ganjiang. Can you tell us a little more about where this place is?

Train? No. But it's possible to take a combination of the metro (http://www.shmetro.com) and then Maglev (http://www.smtdc.com).

GUEST20736 This thread is old, but here is current information. You can take the Maglev train (about 10 minutes) to the LongyangLu Metro stop. Take the metro (subway) to the train station, and get your train ticket and take a D train (about 40 minutes) from Shanghai to Suzhou. There are plenty of taxis at the train station in Suzhou, but make sure someone has written down the directions in Chinese or have someone pick you up there.

There are buses directly from Pudong, make a stop at the other airport on the west side of Shanghai, then onto Suzhou directly. About 2 1/2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Trying to navigate all this yourself if you're new to China may be daunting so finding someone with some English skills could help immensely.

There is NO particular train station for the "bullet" trains -- which, BTW, are called the D trains in China. They use the same station as all the other trains.
So are you meaning to say that you want to go to Suzhou train station? Or the train station in Shanghai which has D trains to Suzhou?
What time are you arriving at Pudong airport? How many of you are there and how much luggage do you have?
