![]() | On April 6th, a driver of BMW hit a person who rided a bike. When the incident happened, the driver escaped and the injured was taken on the car. No one knows whether he is alive or not. On April 9th, the mass media reported this piece of news and aroused heat discussion. Traffic accidents almost happens everyday. But why do so many people focus on such incidents? The reason is simple because the driver drives BMW. In recent years, such accidents with BMW is always the focus. If you search on the website 'baidu', there appear 124,000 pieces of news of traffic accidents related with BMW. It is strange. BMW is the symbol of 'evil'. A socialogist said it is the reflection of people's emotions. People think that those who drive BMW have lower moral quality. They are rich but cruel. One of the BMW drivers said that he performs very carefully when he drives. However, he is still blamed by other people. In his opinion, those who dislike the owners BMW becasue they hate the rich people and they have not got enough money to buy one. To some extent, what he said is reasonable. However, the key does not lie here. Why do they hate those rich people? Maybe it has something to do with the disparity between the rich and the poor. Guys, how do you view this issue? |

![]() | I don't think so. It's nothing wrong about BMW, but the quality of Chinese people. Sadly, many new-riches and officials made us disappointed. |

![]() | Yes. The rich should know how to behave themselves. Showing off is very stupid. |

![]() | The rich should know how to behave themselves, you're absolutely right, but as we can all see, although they're not all bad, there are too many bad apples. It's hard to trust anybody driving a car these days, and the more expensive the car is, the harder it is to trust the driver. Sad, but that's the way things have become. Still, things here in Beijing at least seem to be improving. |

![]() | >>>the more expensive the car is, the harder it is to trust the driver<<< I did not understand this, Chris... Can you elaborate please? |

![]() | I mean, the more expensive the car, the richer the person, we've seen this kind of bad behaviour from rich people before, so people stop trusting them. I know, it's weird logic, but that seems to be what's happening. People see a BMW, assume its driver must be as arrogant and selfish as he is rich, therefore don't trust him. |
