Hello

I stumbled opon some old jewels with some wierd characters on them and i think its chinese, so if someone would help me translate i will be very happy.

btw im asian, but not chinese. (if you wondered) :)

Traditional Chinese characters have many styles when they are written with brushes. The two words are in different style.

Yes, the calligraphy is different. In fact, this character should be 壽

In ancient China, when an elder person celebrated his (normally a male) birthday, other people were likely to send him a picture with one hundred this character on to wish him longevity. The 100 characters have 100 styles. No repeat. Some people might send furniture with those characters on.

ohh the chinese culture is very facinating.
I thank you all for your reply's and your help in answering this question.
i was afraid you couldnt read it because i dont draw very well, and it was a bit hard to mimic the character.
