| Do you know HSK, The Chinese Proficiency Test?? Some of the questions in HSK is really funny and weird. Even Chinese may not answer the question. |

| Yes, Conny, u r right. It is the test for non-Chinese speakers. I've read some of the test paper and it's quite funny and interesting. |

| The same applies to China's English language tests. Many times I've had my Chinese colleagues ask me to help explain some "grammar point" that was going to be in the GaoKao, only to discover that the grammatical rule in question exists only in the minds of bureaucrats in the Ministry of Education. I'm going to try and find a good HSK textbook this weekend, because I'm going to need to sit that test sooner or later. I'm not looking forward to it, though, it seems like torture to me. |
