 | Lots of navy research institutes/units sufferred losses years ago and they swithched to civil products. Now the big projects will get them from starving to death. |

| GUESTPHOENIX | In view of certain anti-Chinese mindsets that still prevail in Japan and USA especially, it is imperative that P R CHINA continues to upgrade all its branches of her armed forces including China's naval fleet. It was reported that former Japanese premier, Sato wanted the USA to bomb China with nuclear weapons - this is the kind of people that exists in Japan and USA. That is why it is so important that China possess the nuclear capability to hit back at any country intending to mass murder Chinese people. Remember that the USA is the only country to have used Atomic bombs (weapons of mass destruction). Let us all in China wish the Chinese Navy all the success in expanding her might and capability. Not to destroy other countries (like what Japan, USA, Britain have done) but to defend China from foreign aggressors. |

"defeat the most powerful enemy", are you saying you want a war? i've got news for you, China will NEVER be superior to the States when it comes to military technology. They're stuck in the 70's, using old Soviet technology, build the carriers, they will fall apart at sea. "That's bullshit! For those people, they have upended a commen sense. Whether there is a master first or a bodyguard? Everyone knows that bodyguard appears for master, not master appears until bodyguard appears. There must be masters, even in unsafe conditions. OPEN YOUR EYES and realize that your feeble attempts to match eye to eye with the U.S. are laughable at best. |

| GUESTAIKI | Everyone knows the aggressive foreign policies of the United States which like to use wars to achieve their aims. Although they help to stop Germany and Japan in WWII, the USA still continues to be the producer of weapons of mass destruction; which includes non-nuclear weapon systems. So that is why it would be better that countries such as P R China and Russia continue their military advancement in all their branches: army, airforce, navy - so that the USA can be checked. I wish China's Naval all the success in upgrading their naval forces in every aspect. America culture is built on violence. |

| GUESTANG | Offense is the best form of defense ~ To defend China's interest within her borders and to show the flag in international waters in the four corners of the world, China must aggressively expands her naval forces including having its own fleet of aircraft carriers. Only days ago, an US navy vessel was conducting illegal surveys about 75 miles off Hainan Island (home base for China subs) within China's exclusive zone; Chinese ships intervened and the American vessel left the area. The Obama government and military defends the action of its aggressive naval intrusions and vows to continue this aggression inside China's exclusive zone; so China must always defend herself against America and her evil intention. It is VITAL for China Navy to have a fleet of aircraft carriers; and I hope Russia will also show her flag more often in waters off the US coast. |

| GUESTUSMC | If China wants a carrier, let them, theyre a country with a large coast line, they need a strong navy to defend themselves (and no not from the U.S.) To all you people saying that China should/will attack America, and for those of you saying that America should/will attack China, you all have no place in this discussion with such ignorant comments. The Chineese and the U.S. economies are very reliant on each other, they export the most to the U.S., and theyre the 2nd highest import for the U.S. (Canada is 1st) China attacking the U.S. would be foolish, they would go bankrupt without us buying their goods and their economy would crumble, thus not allowing them to maintain the carriers they hope to build, also the U.S. companies dont want to loose a cheap source of labor, which is why our products prices are as low as they are, getting rid of that labor source would cost us billions, if not trillions, in rebuilding those factories here, and paying the employees a normal minimum wage, but in the long run that would be beneficial to the U.S.. |

| GUEST13146 | Build the carriers.... its not like they can't be sunk. Two seal teams could take out an entire carrier battle group, Just ask North korea. Its no secrete what China is doing and America is 20 steps ahead of them. The only way anything would go down is if for some reason the U.S.Government lets it happen. Its a chess game and America is Bobby Fischer and China is Forest Gump. |
