Nor do I believe the phrase Christians use. 'God has a good thing / plan for our lives. I see that as one of the biggest lie.

Like being in the right place at the right time. In so much as the way we are selected at the point of conception.

Some of us are lucky enough to be born to the right family other have no such luck.

Well if by chance or by luck I don't know. but I've definitely been very lucky to get where I am today.

I believe in luck. It always happens that the one who gets the chance is not the best one. BUT it's reasonable that someone reaps the crops by paintaking diligence that is most of time unknown to others. If you get it, then you deserve it. Life is balance. That is: you will give away what you have taken. I think we, the east and the west, hold on to the same belief...

That's a very good observation there eastchinasea. I could not have put it better myself: "you will give away what you have taken"
yes I agree with this 110%! it is a value that cuts across all different cultures I believe. and yes life is a balance game I truly believe in karma and I've seen it in my own life more than once.
