I will see them as uncivilized/uneducated and rude people and keep away from them.

Tattoos have become popular in the U.S. It is not uncommon to see tattoos on the ankle, calf, upper arm, or other inconspicuous sites. These tattoo areas can easily be covered. In the past, I believe there was a bit of a negative perception of tattoos. Tattoos are more acceptable today. We often say "different strokes for different folks". It means that everyone has their unique perception -- and that's OK.

Yes I also have a tattoo, and I am going to be staying with my gf's folks soon. I'd better try and keep it covered up, or else they will think less of me. A bit sad isn't it!

As I have said before I have 14 on my arms, my Jing accepts them because she knows I'm a good man. Anyone who saw them made no comment and didn't seem bothered, everyone was just happy to meet me. Alan
