![]() | Li Shangying is my favourite poet.share yours. |

![]() | The one I like most is a 苏幕遮 by 范仲淹(Fan 4 Zhong1Yan1) 碧云天,黄叶地,秋色连波,波上寒烟翠。 |

![]() | i like that classic nostalgia of Fan Zhong Yan, too append here an English translation (just for understanding to all, tranlator unknown, a random search from the internet) "Su mu che" Dark clouds in the sky Yellow leaves on the ground A wash of autumn color right to the sea And on the waves a cold green mist Shafts of sunlight play with sky and mountains in the water The fragrant grass has no sympathy -- It's still untouched by the setting sun Gloom far from home Stalks the traveler Night after night, unless A pleasant dream hold him in sleep -- Oh don't, in bright moonlight, lean idly in the tower, alone Wine to a sad heart Turns to tears of longing |

![]() | The translation is quite well, I think. But I still believe that Chinese poems should be written in Chinese. It's easy to translate the characters, but hard to translate the environment, feeling and artistic concept. |

![]() | How about this one?
