Xi'an will have subways in future!

Xi'an, the ancient city, has long been suffered from traffic jam. The government has decided to construct five subways linking nearly every corner of the ciy, even including Xian Yang Airport and Terra-cotta Warriors.

The Line 1 has been finished and Line 2 is just going to be started at present. In the nearly future, this ancient city will enjoy the convenience brought by modern facilities!!!!!!!!

But someone says (just kidding), Xi'an has so many undergroud tresures, will the construction of the subways damage them?? hehe ^.&

The construction of Line 1 has not been started yet!

Yes, as far as I know, the Line 2 is firstly constructed and now is under construction among all the five lines.

The line 2 has been started since the last year ,and until 2011,it will been finished.

Three years ago, I stayed at Xi'an for a week. The traffic situation is not as bad as that in Beijing.

I can't image what the life will be without subway here in Shanghai. There's must be the progress of a city.

The traffic jam is a serious problem in Xian, you cannot imagine how crowd the buses are when in rush hours, so it is good news that subways will be constructed in Xian, but when the subways will be put to use? Maybe hundreds of years later...

Not hundreds of years later. but it really needs a long time to finish this project.
