Normandy Invasion was an important battle during the World War Ⅱ. On June 1944, a military operation Named D was launched on the Normandy Beaches. The allied forces led by the US general Eisenhower crossed English Channel to fight with Germany Army. About 160,000 soldiers, 1200 warships, 10000 fighters and other military weapons took part in this battle. On July 5th, at the end of the battle, the allied forces reached 2880000. On the other hand, Germany had applied about 510000 soldiers in this battle. At last, about 114000 Germany soldiers were killed. For the allied forces, about 122000 soldiers sacrificed.

After this battle, the allied forces had liberated France and Belgium just in three months and invaded in Germany and accelerate the perdition of Fascism. This battle was called “Overlord”.
