Yes, I understand all that you say here !!
My wife's father was a career Army Officer, first stationed in Beijing and then in Guangzhou.

Also, her uncle and brother in law, (sister's husband) were long time Army men. There is a very strong Army culture in her family. My wife's father passed away at a young age and while still serving in the Army.

I wish he could have known me, and could understand how much I love his daughter Hongxia.

Roger. You can understand what we say here. That is good. I wonder that wether there are some differences between PLA and US Army in 'Army Culture'.

If you know something about it, can you share us?
