| I have checked the website: http://www.viplily.com/ It is called a commission or placement fee to VIPLILY, between USD200-USD400 depends on types of room for 3 months or less. Quote: "Utility bills (electricity, gas, water etc) are payed by the guest, but these often only amount to 100 - 200 yuan per month ($10 - $25). Any costs incurred by the families for your meals are to be paid for by the guest." Well Lion, in my country we do have homestay programme here, and participant also involve with cultural exchange, and of course they need to pay for rooms and food, there's no placement fee, but we never call it free homestay, just homestay.
