Forrest Gump says " life is a box of chocolate". Here parafhrase this monologue: marriage is also a box of chocolate, and you have to taste and digest it slowly by yourself.

LEOPOLD219, a good paraphrase. People seem to hold a contradictory attitude towards marriage and love. Last night, a friend talked with me about the relationship between his girlfriend and him. He complained that his girlfriend has many disadvantages which he had not found before. I cannot help but told him that love needs tolerance.

Besieged Fortress is a very well-written novel. I have read this book twice. This novel vividly describes the complexity of middle-aged intellectuals' mentality.
