Another question- How do I get to Shanghai New International Expo Centre (other than taxi) from Astor Hotel or from Bailemen Hotel or Seventh Heaven Hotel. I've not tried the subway there and thought of giving it a try this time.

All 3 of my recommendations are very conveniently located re metro stops, so absolutely no problems getting around. Bailemen Hotel is the nearest one from a metro entrance, less than 50 metres from the hotel to metro entrance.
Seventh Heaven Hotel: Nanjing Donglu (line 2)
Shangfu Hotel: People's Square (line 1 and 2)
Bailemen Hotel: Nanjing Xilu (line 2)
