Ok, first of all, i know this may sound uneducated and I mean no disrespect.

I am going to China...on my Travel Bag, there is a sowed on Flad of Canada and Japan (significance: Bag has been in both places...and will soon have a Chinese Flag sowed on).

The fact that there is a Japan flag on the bag.......will it cause me trouble? I cringe at just asking the question....it is probably very uneducated..but still.....i don't know...

sorry again in advance...

Mario

Ha, Mario, you are a very kind and careful person. Don't worry, it will be ok since you are not a Japanese. If you are a Japanese, nothing will be happened too. Actually, there are a lot of Japanese tourists in China everyday.

Be friendly is your best passport.

I beg to differ. There are still many deep-seated resentment towards the Japanese for their war-time attrocities. At a restaurant in Fenghuang, I saw this sign posted on the front door:
"Sorry, we do not serve Japanese."

For a Japanese or a Japanese-sympathiser I would suggest to stick to "safe" routes, big cities or travel groups. Try not to venture too far into the smaller towns and villages.
