Change money before or when i'm there?

Quick question:

Should i change 300$ before i go to China (into RMB) or should i change it when i get there first thing?

I know that I can change the money at the airport, but i was wondering if it would be a better exchange not to get it changed at the airport in Pekin...but to get it changed here in Canada...

You'd better change it in Canada so that you can use it immediately after your plane landing at Beijing Airoport.

Is it also true that i can change money from CAD to RMB but to change back is really hard? I have read that you need to keep you exchange receipts, but if i'm using credit cards/debit cards for withdrawls..does that count?

When I landed in Guangzhou I had no RMB, it was late at night and had to sweet talk a taxi driver into taking me to my hotel so that I could change money to pay him. He did it without complaint. ...my point is to consider your arrival time in making this decision...if you arrive early you have many options.

What sort of exchange rate will you get if you change money in Canada? The Bank of China ATM worked for me once I sent my bank an angry email about them hot listing my ATM card after I informed them I was traveling to China.

At this point, i can get a exchange rate of : 7.2993 . Means: 1000 HKY (couldn't find RMB) = 137$ CAD

Do you also know about the best way to change the money that will have been withdrawn through ATM's back easiest?

Well i've got my answer:
Changed 250$ to RMB in advanced :)

Also we can change money back to CAD as long as it has Hu Jintao's photo (gosh i hope i have the right name..if not, i'm truley sorry).

Money with Hu Jin Tao's photo???? I have not seen any of this! as you said you can get RMB in Canada you will be able to get it changed back there too.
