Beggars Tourism Festival, have you heard of it?

Xihe County, Longnan City, Gansu Province is holding a Beggars Tourism Festival from August 18th to August 23th. Xihe was named as 'China Beggar Culture Town' by China Folk Artists Association on the beginning of this year. Maybe this is why the locals hold this festival. Tourism resources are relly rich......

Terribly sorry!

I made a big mistake! It is a festival called '乞巧' , to impetrate for wisdom and dexterity from the Godess 'Qiao Niangniang'. A quite interesting and primitive activity of the local Xihe people. Not Beggars Festival at all!

乞丐 (Qi Gai) means beggars while 乞巧 (Qi Qiao) is totally different!!

I mistook 乞巧 as 乞丐 just because of the two similar characters 巧 and 丐...... o(∩_∩)o
