 | Help... i m (26 years old) with this chinese girl for 2 years (22 years old)... her parents were always against our marriage since im a foreigner.. we wanted to get married but the "household registration book" was keep by her family. This makes us impossible to get married... in my country, marriage department needs - certified true copy of her certificate of marriageability 2 step is needed (1. being certified true copy by local county (which they need the "household registration book" only they will process the CTC) (2. and bring the certificate to be CTC by my country embassy in china) if we plan to get married in china, Her certificates of the applicant's residence registration was issued in Guangzhou but now she is in Shenzhen. We want to get married in Shenzhen, do we still need the "household registration book" from her parents? Or will our application be transfer back to Guangzhou? i have very limited time in china since i was transfer back to work in my country... We have been seperated for 6 months. We are mature and old enough to make our desicion. Why is true love being force apart by family demand where they rather want her to marry someone she dont love. Please help me.... |

| You should go back to Guangzhou where her household registration book is registered. It is her right to marry someone and her parents have no right to trouble you two. But according to Chinese tradition, marriage is very important for the family. So she must be very upset now. Why not to try your best to let her parents understand your love to her?? |

| they want her to marry a rich person... im cant fulfill a demand to buy them a house + a shop... they want her to marry to a 40+ year old man.. :( she is really sad and always cry.... i dont know what to do.. why is this household registration book so important.... the only thing i can think of is to marry her first... i look every where.. post everywhere... |

| i cant go oversea for marriage because the 'single cert' need to be CTC by the chinese authorities.... in order for CTC.. they need the "household registration book" as i have state in my first post :( please advice me if the marriage of HK is much simpler? some thing like las vegas is it? |
