GUEST16953: The straight answer is that it's upto the Chinese visa staff to make a decision AND usually the answer is YES it will be granted. Quite clearly from prior posts, persons with records are being accepted. Quite clearly, some people are not declaring their coinvictions and being accepted. So far, no-one has posted a story about anyone being rejected either way. Either the authorities are not checking, or they are and still allowing entry. So make a decison and live with it. No way would I declare a conviction. (I'm lucky, my 'conviction' is a 'no conviction recorded', a nice provision of my State's law, so I don't have to anyway. |

| On my 7understanding, if you are convicted of another offence, the 'conditional discharge' will be taken into account or re-opened depending on the conditions. But until then you have been discharged. No criminal record. No doubt u have community law centres, why not give one a call to confirm this. |
