GUEST54786 Hi All,
I would like to enquire if it's possible to give birth in china as a single mother and are there any complications in the registration for the new born? What are the process?

Thanks
Sam

It is possible for you to give birth in China as a single mother. But it is very hard for you to make registation for the newly born baby. It is almost impossible for you to get a Chinese citizenship for he/she if neither you nor his/her father is Chinese.

GUEST83954 I have a question. My wife is a Chinese national and already has a daughter who is 21 years old. We are expecting a baby and do not know if we will have to pay heavy fines because of the 1 child policy or not. I am an American citizen.

I think that you needn't pay the fine.

GUEST25363 Hi,
Have just given birth in Guangzhou in the VIP birthing centre. My experience there was really great. Happy to provide more info for anyone who wants it and would love to meet up with any other new mums out there: yahoo.co.uk|debonio
