| Using the word 'nudity' according to its western cultural contextual meaning, there was no nudity in that photo. True there are no clothes but what the sexual parts are covered so it does not constitute nusity. it has been shown that women reading women's magazines DO notice these photos. They are NON-sexual but show something important, a pregnant woman. THAT gets there attention and they will more likely read the message. As photos, I consider them very tasteful: they pay tribute to women's form but are in no way designed to be sexually stimulating. few people in western countries would be offended, I think. But, this does not mean China should accept them because they are acceptable in other countries. |
