I just watched a movie called, "A simple plan."

It presents a moral dilemma. The characters find a private plane that crashed in a remote area with $4,000,000 USD. They decided to take the money...and of course their "simple plan" becomes very complicated.

If you found a huge amount of money in a remote location, would you keep the money??? Or would you turn it over to the police???

This is a fairly common fantasy for many people.

What would you do?

Keep the money???

Turn it in???

I really want to keep the money. But I know that I will feel very worried and guilty.

It's a problem in risk analysis - what's it got to do with morals?

Keep the money..but if it is cash, as it would be it would be hard to spend.
That is the main problem.

Agreed Dodger, although it would expedite my wedding day in China.

In the word's of the title of another book, by the same author, the moral of 'A Simple Plan' has to be.... 'Tell No-One'

Griz,

What will you do? Keep the money?"Turn it in". I would keep it if I am really in urgent need of the money. After I get through the troubles in my life, I will try to find the person who lost the money. If possible, I would pay some interests.

It is just like APAULT said, only matter of risk analysis.
In other thread was asked if western men are opportunists. I this kind of case all people are opportunists.
YVONNE, I donĀ“t believe a second anyone would even think finding the owner of the money. All kinds of explanations would be found fo keeping it. " Cash money, it must be criminal money" or "If someone can afford to keep this much money in cash, there must be a lot more in bank"
As obvious, I have some kind of criminal mind ; )

Well, Finnish law says finder is justified to get 10% reward, so it would be 400,000 dollars.

I would return the money, anyone believe me?
