| My favorite tofu dish is the one called jiachang doufu (家常豆腐) which means something like home made tofu or homestyle tofu. Everywhere you eat it, they prepare it a little bit different. Sometimes adding a lot of garlic, sometimes adding a lot of ginger. Veggies also differ; mostly they add some qing cai (green leaf vegetable) or tomato, but in some places they add mushrooms or onion instead. My question for you: what is the ultimate way to prepare this kind of tofu. Tell us your recipe! |

| The bascis are tofu, green and red peppers, pork in slices, "mu er" (chinese dried champignons), "la doubanjiang" (hot broad bean paste), dried sichuanese chili (optional), scallions and garlic + seasonings |
