You were in the country when ur single entry visa was issued....(6 months, amazing!!), but that was your single entry. If u look on the visa u will see a penline through the number of prmitted entries.

Is it possible to apply from Main Land ( I am in ShangHai), or I should go to Macau? which document should I bring with me? for 3 or 6 month visa what should I need for? Thank you in advance for your help and support. |

Last Guest. A visitor on a tourist visa is never entitled to work. But FEC, what is that?

Komi. Be aware that while on an L visa you are not permitted to look for a job. Ok, many of us do so, but remember not to give that as a reason for getting a further visa. You would be best to apply for the visa on the mainland because if you go to Macau you might be denied and not be able to re-enter at all. As a Togo national you would also have to pay for a Macau visa. Applying on the mainland you should be able to get a new visa, but how many times and for how long are at the discretion of the PSB exit and Entry office that you apply to: African national often receive less favourable treatment than some others. Note that a new visa cancels the old one, so if you apply too early you waste some, but if you apply right at the end of the visa there are several days between application and issuing a new visa which become free extra days.

Hello Paul. Thank you for all the help you are being giving here. You are really good person. Now I have one problem. My wife and I ( we are living in Shanghai, my wife is native from Shanghai), we would like to invite one friend of us. My wife has sent the invitation letter to him ( the letter was signed by my wife, with copy of ID card and copy HuKou -- residency certificate). Now when our friend went to the Chinese embassy for visa, he was refused because the invitation is written by an individual. The embassy officer said the invitation should be issued on different way. My wife contacted the Foreign Exit-Entry Service of Shanghai, they said they don't issue invitation. Could you please guide us to the appropriate service that can issue this invitation? We don't want to go through the Travel agency as long as our friend will live with us in our apartment. Thank you in advance for your help.

Toto. Sorry but I have no real help for you. For most nationalities no invitation letter is required. Maybe the nationality of the applicant (your friend) is one where stricter rules are applied. I think that he/she needs to contact the local Chinese visa office and ask them exactly what they require. If he has travel agents run by Chinese they might be able to advise.
