| Someone has just posted on another forum that the Ming Tombs seem to be closed for renovations? And also, what's the point of posting a 3-day tour when this person can only afford 2 days at the max? Some people don't read properly before posting their reply? I wouldn't dream of taking a bus for Beijing -- Ningbo, it's too far and won't be comfortable. Trains are a much better way to go. However, the only Beijing -- Ningbo train takes 22h20min. That's really quite long. Sleepers cost anything from 355 to 584 RMB, depending on your choice of sleeper (hard/soft) and bunk. Are you on a time constraint or financial limit? Because if you're not on a financial limit (ie can spend a bit more to go faster) then I'd suggest that you take the overnight trains (11.5 hours) Beijing -- Shanghai and then a fast T train Shanghai -- Ningbo for about 4 hours. You can sleep on the overnight trains so you don't lose any time. |

| Excuse me, there's no need to type in all capitals. It's the online equivalent of shouting and extremely rude. I presume you're here to REQUEST for information, not DEMAND for it. Also please note that no one calls Guangzhou "Canton" any more. You living maybe 2 centuries ago? Ningbo -- Guangzhou: K212/K209 (1335--1127) 21h52min That's the one and only train. |
