Not in all cities, Johnny512 but if it is against the law in a city or county, both men and women are not allowed to wear those kinds of pants/trousers that shows "too much."

There’s a joke that people in other countries learn about America and Americans through movies and MTVs. Movies are just created fantasies, not real life. It’s true that there are American women who wear almost nothing in real life, but you have to go to the beach or bars for that. ;-)

No matter what you hear, not everyone in America is running around almost naked. In fact, some of the most conservative people I’ve known are Americans. Maybe it’s because I am living in the Bible belt. Sometimes what’s acceptable in other countries is not acceptable here. Hollywood is not America. Hollywood is going by the principle that “sex sells”. You can’t really know a country and its people through made-believe movies. That’s why I travel. Yet I know that even that is not enough. ^_^

Bible belt refers to that area of the United States where the Bible permeates people's lives more than other areas in the US. There really is no real boundary as people cannot agree on it.

South Carolina
Georgia
Alabama
Mississippi
Arkansas
Missouri
Tennesee
Oklahoma
Kansas
Nebraska
South Dakota
North Dakota

PARTIALLY IN BIBLE BELT:
Maryland (Southern and Eastern MD only)
Delaware (South of I-95)
West Virginia (Not the northern panhandle)
Ohio (Southern Areas)
Indiana (Southern areas)
Illinois (Southern areas)
Iowa (Southern and Western areas)
Florida (Not South of Orlando)
Texas (West Texas not included)

I can't accept to wear low-waisted breeches in daily life, and I don't think it is a kind of fashion.

Are all the Americans in the Bible Belt very conservative? As far as I know, there are many homosexuals in Florida. Many women wear very sexy Bikini walking along the coast of Florida. I think wearing bikini is more exposed. If we can accept people who wear bikini, why can't we tolerate those girls wearing low-waisted breeches?

Hi Zoey!

No, not all Americans who live in the Bible Belt are conservative. Bikini is acceptable if you are on the beach area but um... if you are going to buy groceries or you are walking around town, I don't think people will think very highly of you. LOL!
