![]() | My father, if he was still alive would have said Duncan Edwards was probably the greatest, he was a key player in the Man Utd team know as the " Busby Babes " who most were tragically killed in the Munich air crash. My father actually played in the same army team as Nat Lofthouse, in fact my father was the only non international in that team. Alan. |

![]() | Thanks, Alan. I googled on the internet and found out that the Munich Air Disaster happened in 1958. At that time, I was't born yet. No wonder I have never known him. People say that he would be one of the greatest footballers in the world if there wasn't Munich Air Crash. Surely! But he died so young. |

![]() | Yes, I'm not sure how old Bobby Charlton was at the time, I think he had only just broken into the first team, I think some of the other unfortunate players who lost their lives would have become equally famous names. My team Bristol Rovers beat the Busby Babes team in the FA Cup 4-0 not long before the tragic accident, this is looked upon as one of our finest wins in the history of the club. Alan |

![]() | Ian Rush, Liverpool. He was my idol when I played. Pity he is Welsh, he never got a chanse to become a great national team player. In English team he would have. Not many British football player can be compared with Rush`s achievements. He was a goal shooter from heaven, always knew where to put his nose, heh. Carlos |
