Hi there everyone,

Thanks for your replies as haven't been online for a while. I know China is cheap as someone has pointed out and I know this but I am on a round the word trip and also going to Africa, NZ, OZ, China, Vietnam and Thailand so I must budget and get a rough idea at least.

I would do luxury but I love the backpacking (roughing it)..........it's part of the adventure. One of my favourite times was being on a 15 hour train ride with the locals in India drinking local whisky............priceless!!

My personal budget would be about 250-500 RMB/day, on average.
