If you have had Peking Roast Duck, you must have heard of Quanjude. Quanjude started to make roast duck in 1864. However, recently Quanjude Peking Roast Duck has been discussed widely. It is reported that Quanjude will use electric cooker to roast duck instead of charcoal. Many people object to roast duck in electric cooker. Why? They are afraid that the flavour might be different. Moreover, Quanjude Peking Roast Duck also has some culture characteristics. If we use electirc cooker to roast duck widely, the culture characteristics will disappear.

What do you think? Do you want to try Peking Roast Duck made in electric cooker?

No, if they use electric cooker to roast duck and I don't think that roast duck made in electric cooker is called Peking Roast Duck. I tried Peking Roast Duck before but was not very fond of it, too greasy.
