Train Qingdao - Weihai

I am trying to find a train connection between Qingdao and Weihai, but I can not find any. Is it not possible to go by train between those cities?

If not, I would be happy to get some suggestions for how to travel between those cities.

There are very few direct trains between Qingdao and Weihai. Try the trains No. 1063/1066 or 2517. You can take the trains at Lancun( ??) in the north of Qingdao. Where are you planning to tour in Qingdao? If you want to visit the Seashore Scenic Area, it will take you about one hour bus-ride to travel from Lancun to the costal area.

I think the 'Lancun' should be Licun. It may be quicker and easier to travel to Weihai from Qingdao by bus.

I have never been to China, yet. How is it to travel with bus and train? I have been travelling with bus and train i Thailand. The trains in Thailand were super!

Just take the bus. It's not that far at most 6 hours between the two cities by bus.

Otherwise take the train from Qingdao to Weifeng and Weifeng to Weihai.

Use the tab at top of the page to search suitable trains but I highly recommend the bus. Quick, convenient and comfortable

Qingdao train station isn't open at the moment as it's under renovations. I think that's the reason why you can't find trains. Trains are diverted to Sifang and Cangkou stations which're further from downtown Qingdao -- Sifang is closer.
In any case, taking the bus is a good idea.

I'm not sure if there're buses or flights for this route. There're a couple of trains, but they're not really that fast!

Huludao -- Sifang:
1408/1405 (0211--1803) 15h52min

Huludao -- Cangkou:
1208/1205 (2358--1443) 14h45min

GUEST27239 I am in beijing now and intend to travel from beijing to Qingdao by train and then to Shidao port to catch ferry for inchon. As far net information, ferry leaves on tuesday from shidao port. I need to know can i buy ticket in advance from beijing or Qingdao for the ferry? How can i travel from Qingdao to Shidao port. What are the means available?
