what does a taxi cost from the airport to the railway station in Guangzhou?

I took the taxi from the railway station to Baiyun airport December and it cost me 100 CNY

believed it would cost more than rmb100 from either East or Main train station to airport - likely at least rmb 140

There's always the airport express bus service. That's much cheaper than a taxi at around 20 RMB.

I agree, take the airport shuttle no.1 for 16 RMB all the way to the Guangzhou main train station.

is this bus easy to find when you arrived at the airport?

yes its very easy as if u r arriving from international flight, all u need to do is just step out of the arrival hall and the buses (green colour) should be there - and just look for the No. 1 bus stand - and it runs every 15 mins or so.
