Griz, wish everything is smooth. "Just having someone to hold as you get older is enough to give a person something worth living for; it makes you young again." Can't agree with any more! As the lyrics of a Chinese song writes: what I think the most romantic is to get older together with you. Very simple words but I am moved.

There's also an English song about growing old together. LOL! Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler (from the movie Wedding Singer) I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad Carry you around when your arthritis is bad All I wanna do is grow old with you I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches Build you a fire if the furnace breaks Oh, it could be so nice, growing old with you I'll miss you I'll kiss you Give you my coat when you are cold I'll need you I'll feed you Even let ya hold the remote control So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink Put you to bed if you've had too much to drink I could be the man who grows old with you I wanna grow old with you.

I think I told my wife " I love you " on average about every 5 minutes, and she responded with the same. Alan

Welcome back Alan! Glad to hear that things went well. And for the topic: I'm on the side of the "say it only if you really mean it" too..and it has already been clearly explained above.

"I might stop at doing the dishes bit though. Just so bad on my hands." Well, Dodger, better have a dishwashing machine! LOL! Anyway, if you don’t like washing dishes, there’s also a Tagalog song about growing old together. ^_^ Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko (Even If My Hair Turns White) Kung tayo'y matanda na (When both of us grow old) Sana'y di tayo magbago (I hope that we won’t change) Kailan man nasaan ma'y (Whenever wherever) Ito ang pangarap ko (This is my dream) Makuha mo pa kayang (Would you still want to) Ako'y hagkan at yakapin (Kiss me and hold me) Hanggang pagtanda natin? (Until we are old?) Nagtatanong lang sa `yo (I’m just asking you) Ako pa kaya'y ibigin mo (Will you still love me) Kung maputi na ang buhok ko? (Even if my hair turns white?) Ang nakalipas ay ibabalik natin (We will bring back the past) Ipapaalala ko sa `yo (I will remind you) Ang aking pangako (Of my promise) Na ang pag-ibig ko'y laging sa `yo (That my love will always be for you) Kahit maputi na ang buhok ko (Even if my hair turns white) ~~ This is just a portion of it ‘cause I am too lazy to translate. :P
