It's a famouse dish of MANHANQUANXI. It looks disgusting. I have got the other post ready on mice dish. It's awful.

Dave, I gave up posting the ugly mice dish. I hate mice and Chinese has much more negative comments on mice like getting the most for nothing- stealing.

Those who eat this dish are too cruel. How can they swallow it? If I were they, I would vomit.

How can it be LIVE monkey brain soup?

If the brain is out of the monkey and in the soup, the brain has to be dead!

I think I'll give it a miss anyway, dead or alive...

They say you can feel the pulse of cranial nerve of monkey brain when eating it. I guess it tastes not bad as long as you imagine it’s a chicken soup.

GUEST12246 In actual fact, the reason they call it 'live' monkey brain soup, is that the live monkey is viced underneath a table with a middle opening, and top of head is removed, followed by chunks of brain which are then cooked.

sorry for graphic details, but truth should be known so we can stop such barbaric customs..

I, for one, believe in much more humane killing of animals before eating them, since, I'm sure, being our food was not their life's ambition!

No, it’s not their ambition. Hmm, as a consumer of food chains, I am trying to be herbivore instead of carnivore.
