I don't know if you have watched a Chinese movie--The Chines Feast. In that movie, the cook just uses bean curd, coconut shell to make live monkey brain and finally he won that competition. How could he make bean curd as delicious as live monkey brain?

GUEST57241 some people get used to eat cheep brain with garlic and olive oil, so I think it is a matter of custom and habbit nothing more, sometimes even we hate some dishes in our country and we find them disgusting so nothing is so wiered just because we are not used to.

GUEST23386 If it's been cooked, it is hardly 'live'.

As far as I know the Chinese don't eat it raw. That's the Arabic version!

I think I'll give it a miss anyway, dead or alive...

My father ate it once many years ago that he could never get out of the memory. He told me about the process, people eat live monkey at a table that with a hole in the middle, which the monkey is locked with its neck. Then one will help to prize up the brain box when it is still alive. They eat the brain raw. Terrible even to bewrite this...

What about placenta? Visited a maternity hospital and saw people leaving with placentas. Curious me asked and was told that it is good for consumption? :-(
