GUEST77168	I know every culture is made up of diverse and unique people, but still its not crazy to say that certain cultures have certain standards and general mannerisms that, relative to the rest of the world, can be seen as carrying a general trait. Personally, French people are not THAT romantic. Not to say that they are not, but I don't think they make the list. The most romantic people I know of are definitely Latin Americans. I have known many people who are Latin, especially a lot of Dominicans and Puerto Ricans and Colombians, and they are very romantic and affectionate. I think culturally they play a large emphasis on family, love to dance dances like the tango and the salsa which are all about passion and romance, when they speak they tend to be very in your face and personal (not in a bad way), they are known for being super romantic lovers, and Latina mothers are some of the most affectionate I know. Colombians love giving gifts, and are very hospitable. Not to say that other people aren't friendly, or that all Latin cultures or people are the same, but as a general group Latin Americans are quite affectionate and romantic. French people tend to be more proud, and more ethnocentric. Italians are also similar to Latin Americans in many of these regards, as many have a big emphasis on fun and family and love. Many Asian cultures, ie Japan and China and Korea, tend to be more private and reserved. Not to say they are cold or heartless, but they tend to be more shy. I think that it is more custom to get to know someone before you get personal as far as I've seen, and are quite conservative, where as some Latin and Italian cultures are more likely to give you a big hug and a kiss and a dance.

Personally, French people are not THAT romantic. Not to say that they are not, but I don't think they make the list. The most romantic people I know of are definitely Latin Americans.
