travel to Shaoxing

Hi,
I would like to know how I would get from Shanghai to Shaoxing in Zhejiang Province? I looked on train search and it has no information. Someone told me there is a direct train to Shaoxing from Shanghai but how can I find it? I hope someone can help?

Dear inmedic,

I didn't find any train from Shanghai to Shaoxing too. There are many buses from Shanghai to Shaoxing. You can go to No.605 Hutai Road to buy the ticket (65-70 RMB per person). To reach there, you can take No. 47、58、69、114、128、213、706、710、741、845、849. The first and last bus run at 7:00 am and 19:00 pm. Here is the ticket booking telephone: 021-56538590.

Nope, there ARE trains from Shanghai (main and South stations) to Shaoxing. Here're a selection of those which have reasonable departure and arrival times.
Shanghai main -- Shaoxing:
T791 (0601--0839) 2h38min
T769 (1045--1317) 2h32min
K255/K258 (1823--2136) 3h13min
Shanghai South -- Shaoxing:
T793 (1121--1335) 2h14min
T795 (1457--1732) 2h35min
N425 (1734--2121) 3h47min
T797 (1937--2152) 2h15min

Or if you're taking bus instead, go to Shanghai South long-distance bus station (beside Shanghai South train station). Buses leave relatively frequently from 0710 to 1925, cost 74-88 RMB (mostly 80 RMB) and take 3 hours to reach.
