Without queuing, shopping in the shopping mall or paying anything, you just need to fill an application form online and then you can try newly released products. It sounds a "free lunch". Is there a free lunch in the world? Yes, with the help of the internet. Those people are called 试客 (Shi 4 Ke 4). On the 17try.com, the most popular one in China, there are over 3 million registered members. Really surprising! According to a survey, most of the 试客 are females. I just wonder why they are so interested in it.

What do you think of this phenomenon? Do you think there is real lunch in the world? DDo you want to be a 试客?

1. A person gives access to others private financial information when filling out the applications.
2. Is the cost of shipping the items free?
3. If this is habit forming, then it could lead to later financial problems.
4. Is this a :free lunch".....No

"Is the cost of shipping the items free?"

Gary, I hear that you needn't pay anything so that the cost of shipping fee is free.

" If this is habit forming, then it could lead to later financial problems."

Why? Many girls are very smart. They just try different kinds of products and never buy them.

I'm just being paranoid about these offers only because of the life style encountered here. Generally, there is always some "hidden" cost to the consumer behind the offers.

Agree, there must be some hidden cost. For those companies, they can promote their products widely. On other hand, some people who have tried their products might become their customers if they feel the products are good. They just expand their potential customers by offering their products for free.
