![]() | Beijing Olympic Torch Relay Starts! According to the sources, Beijing Olympic torch relay ceremony was held in the morning on Monday after the flame was carried to Beijing from Greece. The ceremony was held at the Tian'an men Square. During the ceremony, Chinese president Hu Jintao lit the a cauldron, which marked the start of the torch relay. According to the schedule, the relay will cover 137,000 kilometers in 130 days before the flame finally arrives at the National Stadium in Beijing on Aug 8,2008 for the opening ceremony. It is said that the torch will leave Beijing on Tuesday for Kazakh city of Almaty, the first stop of 135 cities in the world. Photo Source: Xinhua News.
