Weifang's kite festival is always on 20th April, and activities continue in the following days.

I only spent a couple of hours in Jinan so I can't really comment: http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/1d57/f76f6/

Frommers has an interesting blurb about Zibo: http://www.frommers.com/destinations/qingdao/3375010011.html

I got some fantastic photos on Taishan: http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/1d57/f4495/

And Tai'an's main attraction is the Dai Temple: http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/1d57/f4558/

If you do read my travel pages, it would be nice if you could take the effort to rate the tips as you go along, thanks. :)

Yes as suggested read our travel reviews

Second time posting this list

There are loads of them. And not too far
Weifeng
Yantai and Penglai
Weihai and Changshantou

Read the reviews posted here and do a google

Taishan and Qufu and I'm sure if you ask around you'll find more places that a even closer to Qingdao

There is loads of information about Shandong Province on this site alone.

GUEST69217 Don't go to Laoshan. Take a walk along the seaside scenic areas. It will take you the whole day to cover the whole strip. While walking the strip, take minor detours to the Catholic church and the other nearby sites.
