shenzhen or guangzhou to hong kong overnight ferry/bus

guest20318	Hello, can anyone tell me whether there is overnight ferry/bus to go to Hong Kong from either shenzhen or guangzhou. I am planning to fly back from Guilin in the evening and will be arriving at zhenzhen at 23:00 or Guangzhou at 22:35. alternatively, is there an airport hotel in either city so that I can stay overnight before making my way to Hong Kong. I remember staying at the Good East Hotel in Guangzhou in early 2007. I got highly-discounted rates from elong.net.

The hotel is around five minutes from the airport. When I called them for directions, they actually offered to pick me up for free. They also offered a free shuttle to the airport the next day. This hotel is not perfect, but it is decent for Chinese standards.

BTW, don't forget to eat breakfast at the restaurant right next to the hotel (to your right when facing the hotel). I had a 12-RMB super delicious cantonese dimsum breakfast. You'll probably pay HK$200 for the same great food in Hong Kong. =)

Instead of flying, how about taking the overnight bus from Yangshuo to Shenzhen? You'll arrive at around 0800 and can then go directly across the border in Hong Kong. Cheers!

Fly to Shenzhen, from SZ airport transfer to the 24-hr border crossing, Huanggang port, by taxi. Once in Huanggang (China Shenzhen side) or Lok Ma Chau (HK side) there are 24 hour bus routes to various locations in downtown Hong Kong Island and Kowloon

GUEST20318	Many thanks. How far is the airport from the Huanggang port? Any idea how much it costs for the taxi? Just heard too many stories about tourists got rip off by taxi-drivers in China...I am sure most taxi drivers are honest people.

ELLYSE Points: Join Date: Oct 30, 2005 Status: Offline	Buy your Yangshuo -- Shenzhen ticket as soon as you get to Yangshuo, that should be enough "advance". Ask your guesthouse if they know the timings, I don't.
