I am planning a day of shopping in the Markets of Beijing on 30/4. to pick up a few items for family and freinds.
I plan on visiting the following markets ,time permitting.
Can anyone give me there thoughts on each and some form of assessment to assist me in spreading my time where there is more value and variety.
* Sanltun Ya Show Market
*Silk Market
* Hong Qiao Market
*Xizhimen Market
*Yabaolo Market.

Also open to any other suggestions that are wortwhile.

To add something useful:

Check out Da Zhong Si (one stop north of Xizhimen station on line 13). It's where we buy all kinds of stuff--very cheap clothes, utensils, microwaveable containers, oven-proof ceramics, art materials, lighting fixtures, figurines, toys... I think they have it all at great prices.
