 | Where can you rent a bike? I've seen contradictory info - some say at any gate, others say only South, others say only West....arggghhhhh |

| Scott, if you want to ride on the city wall, you can rent a bike at East, South, Heping (Peace) Gates etc. Tandem bicycle costs you 40 yuan for 100 minutes. If you ride overtime, you have to pay extra money. For riding bike alone, you need to pay 20 yuan for 100 minutes. Remember that you have to deposit 200 yuan or valid ID card. |

| Hey Scott...BBQQ is right on the money about the bike rentals. Most people recommend the south gate because it's popular. As for getting on the wall, there is an entrance fee, I think something like 40 yuan. For more info on the wall check out the travel reviews. |

| Scott, there are parts of the Wall that are free but you might need a local guide to show you how to get there. No crowds, no hawkers but potentially quite dangerous in places so if you do have an accident your on your own. Dodger.. |
