| This is an independent movie, not on general release, but being shown at a few venues around Bejing and in Xian at the moment. It sounds like a fascinating story, told in a documentary/essay style, about the lives of 3 Beijingren in the run-up to the Olmypics. Events and proceeds are being donated to charity and so I just want to help raise awareness of the film and its screenings. I'd just like to add I am not affiliated to the film in any way, I just happened to learn about it and think it sounds brilliant! The film is in Chinese, with English subtitles. You can see a trailer on youtube:http://www.youtube.com/ or check out the official website (in English) at: http://boomtownbeijing.com/ or read an overview and interview with the director at: http://www.lostlaowai.com/ Has anyone seen it? I'd be interested to hear any thoughts... |

| Hi, as far as I know it's not possible to get copies of this, it is only being shown in private screenings in a few places. |
