The green ones. I could catch some when I was a kid. But I seldom find them. By the way, I never tasted those gray ones that fly from west to east to sweep corns in China.

Last week I saw people selling fried green grasshoppers at the roadside stall at one of the Bangkok night markets. I didn't buy because the stall owner didn't seem to care about cleanliness.

Dear one,

The sanitary condition at many food stalls is a big issue, especially those moving stalls. I means "those who pull handcarts to sell food or snacks on the streets". But those fixed ones have better sanitary condition. One example is Jinli Street in Chengdu.

I have been to Chengdu once, only for 2 days. That was in 2008. How's the earthquake in Sichuan? Chengdu affected?

The neighboring cities and provinces are shocked by the earthquake in Lushan. Nothing else! But Lushan County was almost ruined. So far, 193 people have been killed and more than 12000 are injured.

Sometimes it's not easy to digest the news. Remember the train mishap before? It was reported death toll was less than what really happened.
