Hi , I live in Hong Kong, in TUNG CHUNG , which is in Lantau, not far from the airport... I want to go to Shekou, but can't take the airport ferry since you have to have an air ticket and enter the restricted area.

I know that you can get to Shekou by ferry from HK city and it costs about HK$110ish... (half the price as from the airport)... any idea where i get this ferry from though?

Also, I heard that it's easy to get to Shekou by bus/busses/ kcr & bus... any idea how i can do this?

I will be needing to go to Shekou regularly, and the ferry seems a pretty expensive way to do it!

Is it worthwhile considering going via Lo wu and then getting a bus to shekou? Any idea what bus and where to catch it from at lo wu?

GUEST21223	You dont have to pick up luggage . When you purchase yr ferry terminal ticket , give them yr luggage receipt , they will collect and put on the ferry for you. 100% safe !

ELLYSE Points: Join Date: Oct 30, 2005 Status: Offline	The ferry to Shekou is run by Xunlong and leaves from Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal on Hong Kong island, not Kowloon. Departures at 0745, 0900, 1130, 1515, 1800 and 2030. The economy fare seems to be 105 HKD.

Can anyone advise me what are the ways i can take to reach Shekou from the hotel? if by bus, what are the numbers i can take and any bus stops maps available? thanks in advance!

GUEST91124	why not take metro from laojie station to shi jie zhi chuang station or Shenda? Then take a cab to shekou. You can take bus 113 from Dongmen to Shekou

What is the timetable/cost on a Saturday??
