| Davec, I googled and found out that D700 was released On July 1st in Beijing. It has the same CMOS with D3 released in August last year. The effective pixel is 12.1 megapixel. Its outfit looks similar with D300 as many people guessed. According to the news, it will be on sale in late July in China. The price is 2999 US dollars (23800 RMB), just for the camera. Meanwhile, Nikon also released a new external flash---i-TTL SB-900. It costs 3980 RMB. Here is the introduction of D700 at Nikon official website. D700, that's it.  |

| Thats seems a bit too good to be true. The D3 has a superb full frame sensor. To use the same sensor in a cheaper camera will surely allow Nikon to catch a big part of the market away fron Canon. Go Nikon. |

| Davec, do you mean that D700 is cheaper than D3? It is said that D700 is the latest full frame professional digital camera. I thought that it was better than D3. Now I need to do a search on D3 and D700. |

| D700 would be much cheaper than the D3. Full frame is great but people like me with DX lenses would have to consider buying different lenses. I will wait and see when it comes out, if it is as good to play with as the D3 then it will be very very popular. |

| I would be able to if lots of people buy my photos. Hopefully one day I will sell some as images or even to books or magazines. |
